In October 2025, 1-54 fair in London is the occasion for Fondation H to celebrate the launch of Safiotra [Hybridités / Hybridities], exhibition catalogue edited for the carte blanche exhibition by British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare.
The book includes a preface by Hassanein Hiridjee (President of Fondation H), an introductory text by Margaux Huille (Director of Fondation H), a curatorial text by Gus Casely-Hayford (Director of V&A East), a technical text about the exhibition's centrepiece, The African Library, co-authored by Ailbhe Clyne (Production Director at Studio Yinka Shonibare) and Ella Snell (Consultant at Studio Yinka Shonibare), an academic text by Professor Dominique Tiana Razafindratsimba (Lecturer-Researcher at the University of Antananarivo, and Director of the Centre for Research and Studies on Identity Construction at the University of Antananarivo) and a curatorial text by Hobisoa Raininoro (Curator at Fondation H).
The entire catalogue is trilingual (Malagasy/French/English), and numerous exhibition views accompany the reader on a journey through the book's 200 pages. It is available for purchase at a price of €60/300,000 ariary at the Fondation H in Antananarivo and Paris, at partner bookshops in both cities, and online.
