Richianny Ratovo, winner of the2021 Prix Paritana, Fondation H’s program in partnership with the Institut Français de Madagascar and the Cité internationale des arts, presents Tomboka hasambarana [Here Begins Happiness] in Antananarivo, as the second part of the outcome of her residency,which she did in Paris from October to December 2021.
Since its first edition in 2017,the Prix Paritana has been supporting the Malagasy art scene, and is awarded annually to three artists who are either citizens or residents of Madagascar. As a winner, Richianny Ratovo received personalized support from the Fondation H team, a creation grant, a three-month residency at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris and her first solo exhibition in December 2021 at the parisian space of Fondation H, which was enthusiastically welcome by the public.
The exhibition at the IFM fromApril 4 to May 7 2022 is meant as a follow-up to his first presentation,bringing together a set of works created by the artist upon his return to Antananarivo in January 2022, which establish a dialogue with and complete the works created in France.
